3 Ways you’re dressing WRONG in This transition weather! | The Tiny Closet Boutique

We’ve all been there. Once January hits you tell yourself you’re over the huge chunky sweaters and you’re thinking of sunshine, the beach, and swimsuits. But the awkward part is that is still a couple months away! In Alabama we go from 60 degrees to a solid 30 in a couple hours! Yea so how do you dress during this time? Especially when the weather is PMSing?

1.Sweater, Skirts and Longs boots

This is the easier one because you’re still dressing warm but you’re showing a little more skin! OW OW! lol. Which is perfectly fine! If you’re in an even colder area throw on a long coat to keep the wind from blowing on your legs! Because more likely than not you’ll be outside for a hot second and then be inside where everyone can admire you’re outfit!

2. Layer Up Buttercup

This one is a super easy way to not only be comfortable, cute and stylish but also appropriate to wear during a day you want to chill but look hot! Layering is your best bet because depending on where you are its either cold as hell all day and you go inside inside and its HOT as hell and you’re sweating! Or vis vera. You’re in the south and it goes from 30 degrees in the morning to 65 degrees in the afternoon. So naturally you’d shed some layers!

Layering Tops are our go to when it comes to this problem. They can make any outfits fun and can keep you warm! The bigger and longer the top the better!

Places 40 Degrees and lower: Your best bet is wearing a bodysuit that is long sleeved.  Wearing a sleeveless bodysuit will give you zero warmth and frostbite isn’t a cute look. Being able to wear a long sleeve with a layering top may keep you from also having to wear a jacket. But thats coming from a girl who is cold 24/7!  I wear these like its my church.

Places 40 degrees and higher: You need a sleeveless bodysuit. The temperature rises a down south. Especially during this time the year. You’ll get stripping layers off throwout the day and still have a rockin (yes I said rocking) outfit underneath!

3. Time for some color BAYBE!

We get it, we understand the struggle. You want to wear color but its still cold and all the sweaters you are seeing are dark and cool looking! So lets try this, grab a light weight sweater with some color! You can layer it, tuck it, tie it and its still appropriate for the transition of winter into spring! But lets be realistic you know its still cold and you still need sweaters to stay warm! But lets throw some color out there’d call it a day!

Another way to throw in some color is to accessorize with some extra fun pieces! Colorful tassels, layered jewelry, colorful barlettes, and glasses! These give those pieces that have a lack of color some fun and flare! (Yes I sure did say fun and flare)! We here at The Tiny Closet want you to feel extra and powerful! What better way than some EXTRA earrings or bags?
